Watering bans in many federal states - how cemetery gardeners can now react with RAINOS.

The drought in Germany is getting worse. In many federal states, cities and municipalities have switched to banning or at least severely restricting watering during the day. Cemetery gardeners, who have to ensure dignified grave care despite the weather conditions, are particularly affected - and increasingly under difficult conditions. It can be assumed that this situation will become even more acute in the coming years.

The problem: Prohibition to water - but obligation to care

According to BR, the first watering bans are already looming in Bavaria due to the ongoing drought . Cities in Saxony-Anhalt have also already banned watering between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Source. North Rhine-Westphalia, Brandenburg and Lower Saxony are following suit - an overview shows the worrying development: derwesten.de and kommunal.de.

For many businesses in the green sector, this means that it is almost impossible to provide uninterrupted care for graves during the day - at the same time, the pressure on staff to compensate by working nights and additional shifts is growing.
For many nurseries, the obligation to water and the daily watering ban therefore represents an almost impossible mammoth task.

The solution: the RAINOS autonomous watering robot from Innok Robotics

RAINOS is an autonomous watering robot specially developed for cemeteries, parks and municipal green spaces. It enables a completely new form of irrigation - automated, efficient and above all: at night.

The RAINOS watering robot waters graves fully autonomously at night.

What the RAINOS does:

🌙 Watering fully autonomously at night - even if watering is prohibited during the day
💧 Up to 200 graves or 20,000 liters of water per night
🌱 At least 15% water savings thanks to precise, sensor-based irrigation
👷‍♂️ Relief for staff - no additional effort, no night shifts
📍 Precise navigation on cemetery paths and grounds, even in difficult conditions

"Our customers report that the RAINOS makes it possible for them to meet their maintenance obligations during the hot season - while at the same time reducing water consumption," explains Nikolas Rössler, Chief Commercial Officer at Innok Robotics.
