Scarab - autonomous waste robot

Scarab - autonomous waste robot

Energy-efficient and smart - Scarab was developed in collaboration with the Lower Austrian waste disposal company Brantner and the Center of Mechatronics in Linz. The aim is future-proof and autonomous waste disposal: A perfect solution for an industry plagued by a shortage of skilled workers.

The fill level of the garbage cans is determined using lasers and ultrasound to avoid unnecessary trips and high energy costs. Once a garbage can is full, it can be emptied 365 days a year by the autonomous, mobile robot.

The robust Innok platform makes it possible to drive on uneven paths and wet or snow-covered surfaces.

Scarab has already started its service in the "Blue Lagoon" in Vösendorf near Vienna.
