Innok Robotics and Gessmann enter into pioneering partnership

Together with Innok Robotics GmbH, W. Gessmann GmbH presents a pioneering partnership for the seamless integration of autonomous mobile robots (AMR) in indoor and outdoor areas. Under the motto "We close the gap between outdoor and indoor", both companies combine their strengths - Gessmann with the versatile GESSbot and Innok with the powerful INDUROS - and offer automated logistics solutions for a wide range of application scenarios.

The GESSbot is a flexible AMR system with a deliberately compact design that uses existing paths safely together with people thanks to LiDAR sensor technology and can be optimally integrated into an existing environment. Thanks to the modular and individual superstructures such as the roller conveyor, trolley transporter, lifting system, shelving, pallet transporter or cobot integration for pick & place tasks at various locations, the GESSbot is the perfect solution for intralogistics.

The INDUROS is the ideal complement as an expert for outdoor areas and challenging terrain - a robust AMR with hybrid navigation, 2D/3D sensor technology, intuitive order management and the ability to safely and reliably pull large loads of up to 1.3 tons outdoors. As a multi-terrain capable all-rounder, it masters obstacles such as ramps, weather and different surfaces with ease.

Strong together: Connecting automation

  • Seamless use of technology: Whether for transport over threshold levels, between factory halls or outdoor storage and indoor areas - both systems work in an interconnected manner via an integrated control system and there are various transfer options for autonomously transferring trolleys, load carriers or parts from the GESSbot to the INDURIOS and vice versa.
  • Modular intelligence: The software interfaces of both systems are compatible, which enables standardized fleet management and monitoring.
  • Scalability & flexibility: Customers solve both indoor-intensive automation tasks and outdoor load distribution with just one partner network.

Customer benefits at a glance

  • End-to-end processes: From indoor storage to outdoor installation - smoothly automated.
  • Cost and resource efficiency: fewer manual transfers, higher capacity utilization thanks to autonomous 24/7 operation with vehicles deployed in their specialist areas.

"We are closing the gap between automated indoor intralogistics and outdoor transportation. Together, we are creating seamless end-to-end processes," explains Steffen Kuhnle, Head of Robotics at Gessmann.
