Innok x Siemens: Autonomous outdoor logistics at the Siemens plant in Leipzig

Written by Innok Robotics | 04-28-2026

First the successful integration of our robots into the Siemens fleet manager SIMOVE. Now our new highlight video from the field. At the Siemens plant in Leipzig, our INDUROS plays a central role in plant logistics.

The INDUROS is used there both with individual trailers and in combination as a tugger train. The task is clearly defined. The robot transports required parts from a neighboring supplier directly to the Siemens plant for further processing. In return, it brings empty trolleys and racks back to the supplier.

This automated process is a real game changer for the plant in Leipzig. Previously, all transports had to be carried out laboriously with manned forklifts. It was also necessary to open the gates to the factory premises manually each time. The INDUROS now performs these tasks completely autonomously. It communicates directly with the infrastructure and opens the gates independently. In addition, transportation runs more smoothly than with the previous solution using forklift trucks.

Safety is the top priority. The INDUROS moves absolutely safely in mixed traffic with forklift trucks and employees. This successful implementation impressively demonstrates how Physical AI increases efficiency in industrial production while simultaneously reducing the workload on staff.
