Rethinking heavy-duty transportation with the INDUROS 1300

The original problem

Herborner Pumpentechnik GmbH & Co KG develops and manufactures world-leading pumps for swimming pools, ships, waste water and industry. In the manufacture of these massive quality pumps, extremely heavy castings have to be transported safely and efficiently between different production halls. The logistical challenge here lies in a classic "brownfield" environment. Some of the routes consist of poor hall floors, cracked tar outside and typical obstacles such as manhole covers. In addition, the process requires constant switching between indoor and outdoor with several factory gates.

The solution: the INDUROS 1300 and Innok Cockpit

To overcome these logistical hurdles, Herborner Pumpen relies on the INDUROS 1300. This autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is the powerhouse of our new INDUROS family, which now consists of the 350s, 700, 700s and 1300 models. With an enormous pulling force of 1,300 kg, the robot moves the massive cast parts with absolute ease.

The INDUROS 1300 demonstrates its full multi-terrain capability. Thanks to Innok Hybrid Navigation, it masters cracked tar, uneven ground and manhole covers without any structural adjustments to the infrastructure. The system also autonomously opens gates in the background when moving seamlessly between halls.

The best product only brings real added value if it is used with pleasure. Innok Bay Control makes robotics intuitive and safe to operate for every employee. The INDUROS 1300 can be controlled by any team member via the touch interface of our AI autonomy platform Innok Cockpit - without any previous robotics experience.

Evaluation and benefits The application at Herborner Pumpen proves that heavy loads and smart automation are a perfect match. The high safety standards and excellent visibility of the robot guarantee safe operations in the daily work environment.

Our robots do not replace people, they relieve them. Skilled workers can concentrate on value-adding activities again, while the INDUROS autonomously takes over the monotonous and physically extremely strenuous routines. The result is massive process optimization, alleviation of the acute shortage of skilled workers and a ROI that pays for itself in the shortest possible time.
